Welcome to Our Blog. We have just began this as a way that we can share feedback on products and active play. We have offer a wide range of activity toys and hope that this will help by sharing tips and ideas from the practical to the technical. We also welcome ideas on everything - party ideas for all ages, to fun projects in the holidays.
How we started Bouncy happy business happened like this; we’re a family that lives in Cornwall and we love as all families do, doing things together – especially spending time outside. Four years ago we bought a trampoline – but it was not easy to compare and choose from the many options available online. When the trampoline arrived at Christmas we did a lot of bouncing… and the more we bounced the more we thought how fun it would be to give up the day job and set up a business selling trampolines and activity toys which would make it really easy for people to find the best one for them. So we did. We called it Bouncy Happy People.
Today we sell all sorts of other games and toys as well as the best trampolines. Our four children are great at helping us test anything from the different brands of trampolines we have set up here to the trikes and table tennis tables. We don’t sell anything we don’t like. If something is too difficult to put together or isn’t strong enough, we just don’t stock it. After all, a broken toy or game is unlikely to make you feel either bouncy or happy!
We do lots of hands-on research. We know just about everything there is to know about what we sell, so if you need advice or a quick delivery, just send us an email or give us a call. As a small family company we really appreciate our customers and we’re proud of providing excellent service. We’re allergic to things like call centres and we love hearing what our customers have to say.”
Please feel free to contact us for advice or information or call us on 01326 375755. We're always happy to help.

The Bouncy Happy Blog by Maree and Patrick
May 6th TOO FAT TO TODDLE We were credited on the Granada TV production 'too fat to toddle' shown on ITV tonight. Bouncy Happy People were delighted to help with providing advice and the trampolines to make exercise fun for the children in the making of the programme, and as part of the childrens fitness programme. (I was surprised they didn't fit the safety nets). Dr Gately was a good trampolinist too and we hope will be providing some hard data on the benefits.
May 2nd LETS GET OUTSIDE! The weather is superb in Cornwall, and the forecast is looking good for a weekend of garden activity yipeee. Where is the aqua slide?!!
BILIBO We were sent a nice review of the bilibo on a website. They review and test products for younger children. Here it is ....
''Well. The Bilibo. 'Tis an odd thing. A shiny, plastic saucer bucket. Kind of. Thing.
Whats it for? Well - pretty much whatever your child needs, actually.
So far I have noticed that it can be;
A carry vessel for cars and soldiers and dinosaurs,
A super-fast ramp for cars,
A spinny seat on shiny floors,
A TV-watching seat,
A tortoise shell,
A step to reach high shelves,
A helmet to make you an alien,
A stand-in-and-balance-whilst-your-brothers-push-you game,
A floating bath island,
A roll-around for small balls,
A drum,
A shelter for dinosaurs hiding from the tanks (yes, we have very special dinosaurs who co-inhabit contemporary earth alongside modern soldiers...?!!),
A treasure island with caves for the Playmobil pirates,
A cooking pot,
A bug-collecting pot,
A teddy bear's bed,
Oh, the list is endless...
They are quite large (over a foot in diameter) and, of course they're utterly rigid so there's no packing them away into small spaces.
I must also warn you that if you leave them out on the floor I can guarantee that at any time at least one of your children will have one foot in it, shooshing across the floor or standing in it swaying wildly, giggling, whilst you try to talk to them.
It also drives Mr Laura mad, to be honest.
But it's not for him and the children - all four of them, from Ella at 9 months right up to Cameron at 9 years, adore it.
And that's the important thing, yes?

27 April OVAL POD
The Oval Pod has been given 'the thumbs up' in a subjective childrens -bounce test. The results were positive. The Bounce was liked, (certainly comparable if not better than the 'Classic' jump Pod); customers trialling it have been really excited about the bounce; different over the bed. The length is good too (so lots of space for bouncing in a line not in circles?).The boys liked the length for playing ball games. Obvious when stated but then I'm not 10 years old..and we lose the ability to spot the obvious as we get older!
20 April - ACTIVE GARDEN FUN
We are excited to be able to offer 'instant vegetable gardens'. We tested these 'ready to go vegetable plants in our garden last year and are so impressed with how successful it was - and the kids helped plant and harvest too. The baby plants are grown locally in Cornwall and crop superbly. Please click on our link for more information http://www.bouncyhappypeople.co.uk/showdetails.asp?id=2907
4 April- OVAL POD from JUMP KING
We have just erected the newest innovative trampoline from Jump King in the garden (or rather Roney and Sarah did most of it). It looks really good and will offer the option of a large trampoline to be paced in Narrower garden. Not quite as easy to erect as the round ones - but we are here to pass on our experience if needed.

3 March 2008 - COMPETITION WINNER
Congratulations to lucky Mrs Maria Barrow of Whitstable who won a fab Large Ladybird Wheelybug worth £54.95 from us in a competition in Traditional Homes & Interiors.
31 January 2008 - BOUNCY HAPPY ON ITV!
Paddy, our Managing Director, was featured on ITV West Country as part of a series called 'Making It' about people who have drastically changed careers. He talks to Jemma Woodman about the transition from Chartered Surveyor to running Bouncy Happy People, and you get to see a bit more about who we are and what we do. Paddy thinks it may be the first interview recorded for television while trampolining, and he really enjoyed the whole process (even though he was dreading it at first!) Paddy's wife, Pen, their children, and staff members also took part in the filming, click here to watch it online.
6 December 2007 - OUR GIFT VOUCHERS HAVE ARRIVED!
We were very excited when our Gift Vouchers arrived from the printers, we think they look great, we hope you like them too and that they come in handy for gifts on special occasions. They're available in £10, £20 or £50 denominations and come with a Greeting Card and an Envelope, postage is free and we can even send them to the recipient for you.
21 November 2007 - GREAT TOWERS OF BABAL!
Woo hoo! We were recently featured in the Independent Magazine's top 50 toys for Christmas! Babal was right up there at number 6, it's great to see one of our favourite items flying off the shelves, we hope the kids love them when Father Christmas delivers.
6 November 2007 - FILL YOUR STOCKINGS!
We've got a whole host of great Stocking Filler ideas, from the traditional to bath toys, crafty things to nature, and the best thing is prices start from just 25p, we've had a ball choosing them, and we know you'll love them as much as we do!
30 October 2007 - REMEMBER REMEMBER TO PROTECT YOUR TRAMPOLINE FROM BONFIRES
The Jump Bed (the bit that you bounce on) and the Enclosure Net on a trampoline are incredibly strong and hardwearing, however, they are easily damaged by extreme heat, so it's important to protect them on Bonfire Night and during bonfire season, as the cost of replacement of these parts can be expensive. Click here to see our range of Trampoline Covers, and don't forget to tell any neighbours that have a Trampoline if you are planning a Bonfire, you wouldn't want a bill from them!
26 October 2007 - WHEN WILL I, WILL I BE FAMOUS?
We're urgently looking for someone to be featured in a National Newspaper who has succesfully managed to lose weight and become healthier through Trampolining. Would YOU like to be featured as a success story and encourage others to do the same? Do you have photos of yourself showing your weight loss? If so, please contact us by email or phone as soon as possible!
18 October 2007 - WE LOVE JANE & ERIC
Our current favourite grandparents, Eric and Jane, recently purchased a JumpPod and sent us pictures of them assembling it. We loved Eric's photos so much we thought visitors to our website would too, click here to see them!
11 October 2007 - MORE WAYS TO SHOP FROM BOUNCY HAPPY PEOPLE
We've made it even easier to shop with us by adding a downloadable order form that you can print out and complete and send to us with a cheque, postal order or your credit card details. We think it will be a big hit with anyone who isn't used to shopping online, and parents can even fill it out and then pass it to Grannie or Grandpa or Great Uncle Ted to send off, ensuring that the children get exactly what they wanted for their birthday or christmas, and making life super easy for their loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents...
5 October 2007 - SCHOOLS, NURSERIES & CLUBS DISCOUNT
Great news for anyone who is involved with any kind of Schools, Nurseries or Kid's Clubs, we now offer a discount for orders over £500, visit our Schools & Clubs page to find out how to get a discount on your order.

(There's a picture of some of us with our 4th Birthday Cake, too!)
10 September 2007 - FRESH BLOOD
We'd like to welcome Sarah to the Customer Service team, Sarah's interests include collecting moss and folk dancing, welcome aboard!
31 August 2007 - SHES'S DONE IT AGAIN!
Before I've even had a go at beating Roney she's gone and upped the score to beat to 262!!!! Unfortunately, I've gone and put me back out camping at the weekend so it'll be a while before I get to blow her out of the water, but I will, oh yes, indeed I will!
23 August 2007 - youtube.com
We've added a short video of one of our trampolines to youtube, you can view it by visiting 'news and offers' at the bottom of this page.
22 August 2007 - SEAT DROP RECORD SMASHED AGAIN!
Roney just did 220, absolutely awesome! Nice one Roney! I don't know if I am going to be able to beat that, but I'll give it my best shot soon. If anyone else out there manages it, let me know, let's step up the competition!
13 August 2007 - SEAT DROP RECORD - OBLITERATION
Woo hoo! I did 201 consecutive seat drops on Friday, I am the Champion again. I wonder where this will all end...
3 August 2007 - NIP TUCK
We're feeling a lot prettier since we had our homepage facelift, we hope you like the results! We've also shaved some of our delivery prices and done some liposuction on our delivery information. We feel and look fabulous now darling!
2 August 2007 - SEAT DROP RECORD BEATEN
Roney just beat me on her lunch break, she did an awesome 155 in a row, but not for long, I ain't beaten yet!
2 August 2007 - WE HAVE BEEN PLAYING AGAIN...
We've been testing out some more new products (and some old ones as well, just because they're good fun and we like playing with them) last night in the lovely sunshine. Big thanks to Bryan, Jackie, George and Grace for coming along, can't wait to see how Bryan's photos came out, I'm sure there will be some added to our website soon.
We are now completely Smite! hooked and will be playing every chance we get, the 2 Chris's have already become a bit too competitive over it, they reckon we're going to win the World Championships held in Cornwall next year, we can't take part this August because Chris and Rosie are going on their holidays and he's our "GoldenSmites", our star player.
Our new Trampoline Tents are mind-blowing, we put one on a 14ft trampoline last night and couldn't believe how big it was, I'm 5'10" and I could stand up in it, and all 8 of the children fit in it very nicely, in fact they refused to leave and wanted to spend the night in it! We're going to let them sleep over at the weekend, so we'll let you know how much fun they have! What a great way of adding another dimension to a trampoline, perfect for summer sleepover parties or even an extra spare bedroom for visitors, bet they'd fight over who got to sleep in it.
The older children were also having a lot of fun with a Bounce Board, pulling some awesome tricks on the Trampoline, it's a lot like wakeboarding or skateboarding and puts a real 'extreme' spin on bouncing. No wonder we've been selling so many of those!
On the subject of tents, the Wigwam was also a big hit with the kids, it looks so sweet, has enough space for 2 or 3 children and is really well put together. Grace spent a long time in it in seclusion, meditating, like she says Native American Indians do.
Poi were as popular as ever, we also played a lot of games of Volleybird and Astrojax, Freddie was particularly fond of knocking over the Hi-Tower by running into it, just after we had managed to stack them all back up again ready to play a game! Freddie is 3 though, so we can see how destruction would be a lot more fun at his age than trying to balance them (especially when he couldn't reach the top of the tower when it was fully assembled!) probably a better game for children a little older and grown ups that one.
Paddy made us all laugh a lot when he pulled a wheelie on a Go-Kart and tipped over, hilarious! It was a Kart designed for children up to 12, and he's a father of 4...we were amazed he could even get it going, let alone keep up with a Dino Kart.
Thanks a lot to Paddy and Pen for the lovely barbecue, it was just what we all needed after all that running around. Paddy did a sterling job 'firing up the old barbie, cobber' and Pen's home-made Chocolate Roulade was heavenly. I need to do some more trampolining now to burn off the calories from my second helping!
Special thanks to Alex, Woody, Grace, Anna, Hugo and Freddie for, as usual, having lots of fun trying out our products, it's a tough job we know.
31 July 2007 - THE SUN HAS GOT HIS HAT ON, HIP HIP HIP HOORAY
Oh my goodness, isn't it nice to have some sunshine finally! Here in the office we've all been missing our lunch and break time trampolining, but now that the rain has stopped we're back on with a vengeance. The current office Seat Drop Record is 151, watch this space to see if anyone can beat it! (Yours truly is the current holder and very proud of my achievement, would have got more if I hadn't got distracted by some very yummy looking plums growing on the tree at the bottom of the garden..) If you can beat that, send an email to us and let us know your record and we'll give you a mention.
28 July 2007 - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HOUGHTONS!
It's a bit late, but Happy Anniversary to Chris and Rosie from all of us. 6 years of wedded bliss and 2 lovely kiddly winks - love your work guys xx
20 Jul 2007 - THE RESULTS ARE IN!
Well we had a brilliant time (as you can tell from the smiles in the photos!) testing out our latest products, we loved the scooters and the little guys really put the trikes and learner bikes through their paces, they even managed to keep up with the monster go-kart! The bigger kids gave the scooters some serious punishment, too.
We're very pleased with the quality of the things we sell, and the latest stuff certainly measures up. We found them easy to assemble, robust, work well, look good and well worth the money. All our new stuff comes highly recommended and has been tested by a wide range of ages, from our littlest who turned 3 last week, to our biggest who is somewhere in the 40's but not prepared to commit to an actual figure.
We'll be doing some more 'testing' in the next few weeks, so look out for some more great photos, we're looking forward to some more playing and another barbecue, mmm Aberdeen Angus burgers...
18 July 2007 - PRODUCT TEST NIGHT TONIGHT!
We're playing with some of our latest products and having a barbie tonight, we'll be giving them the 'Bouncy Happy' treatment to see if they are any good. We've already had a whizz around the block on a Dino Go-Kart because once we'd assembled it we couldn't wait, it's flippin' awesome! Big enough even for Chris to ride and he's 6'2" and 18 stone! We're gonna use it to nip to the shop for biscuits and treats from now on instead of the car!
We'll let you know how much fun we have with the other stuff soon, once the kids and the big kids have hard a darn good play.
