About us

Bouncy Happy People is a family business run from the heart of Cornwall. We do all our own testing, fiddling, throwing and jumping so we can offer only toys we trust to be good, wholesome and healthy to play with.

It began in 2003, the day we decided to buy a trampoline for our four children. We wanted something fun and active for the kids to enjoy outside.

As well as being fun and safe, it had to be durable and hardy enough to be left out in the Cornish weather but, crucially, it had to put beaming smiles on glowing faces.

The web offered many options but we had so many questions it was hard to choose something we could be confident about.

Our detailed research proved invaluable when our fabulous trampoline arrived. We all did a lot of bouncing. In fact the more we bounced the more we thought how much fun – and how useful it would be to devote ourselves to unraveling this sort of problem for other people.

So we did. We called our company Bouncy Happy People and these days we’re fully engaged in finding and selling the world’s best activity toys while making it easy for people to find the best toy for the child they have in mind.

Of course trampolines were just the start. We now know a lot about scooting, building, go-carting, brain-teasing, triking, music-making, growing, making and generally what it takes to have fun. With our children helping us test new items we have a team that never runs out of energy or enthusiasm for playing. We write a Bouncy Happy People ‘blog,’ primarily about products, but also about our experience as ecommerce specialist retailers and fun ideas for active play.

As part of our commitment to this goal we test as many toys as we can at home and for some of the educational items we employ enthusiastic test-pilots from our local pre-school.

We do our best to offer advice, value for money, and to be the lowest price but supported by after sales, and we listen carefully to customer feedback on products and assembly. That’s how we’ve now built a loyal customer-base across the UK and Europe. We are part of the community and Bouncy Happy People has and continues to make a positive contribution for good in supporting charities and operating in an environmentally sustainable way.

By starting Bouncy Happy People we weren’t just choosing an active life we loved for ourselves, we were investing in the future of young people by providing toys that will help them to play actively, preferably outdoors, where they can develop as healthily and vibrantly as possible, away from electronic distractions for as long as possible.
